Sedin Twins Re-Sign with Vancouver

In all seriousness, does this really surprise anyone?

The twins always said they wanted to stay in Vancouver, and they have always been team-first players.

Looks like BUrkie won't get a chance to bring them to Leaf land, maybe for the good!

I'm happy, I really didn't want that much tied up in two players. They are good players, and deserve what they are getting, its just a lot of money when the Leafs already have money tied up in some questionable contracts...cough....Finger....cough.

Don't think it was a surprise as they are nucks. Maybe that trip to Sweden did the trick

It is a very solid deal for Vancouver! IMO they would have got 7 mil each on the market...
....Just not happy as a Flames fan in a Vancouver Market cause all the talk will about the girls comming home ;-)

I will admit that the later it got yesterday the more worried I was getting but figured with the trip that Gillis made to Sweden probably kept us in the drivers seat.

Great signing for Vancouver - tough to find two players out there that can guarantee you chemstry and about 160-170 points between them for $12mil - nice work!

Hey..now that is not fair Randy. Perhaps he likes his women with hairy faces.

I don't think there was a huge amount of doubt about the twins re-signing. They have been good to Vancouver and I think the Canucks showed that they were willing to do what it took to sign them.

I think this is the first step in the task of re-signing Luongo.

At ball last night my brother was cursing out Mike Gillis; this morning the complete opposite. They haven't been a part of a deep playoff run; but for point per game players 6.1 is not a bad number. Just look at what some others who produce less are making more. I think that the happiest person in all of this could very well be Burrows; because he did what Anson Carter did not.

LOL...That was the homer (flames) shining trough...Like I said good deal for Vancouver.. I didn't test the waters to see how sensitive some people are on here so that is my bad...Sorry!

I think it is a fantastic pick-up for the money involved. Vancouver is looking good for next year.
I don't understand how people can say that they look any better than last year? They lost their #1 d-man and re-uped 2 guys they already had...how does that make them better?
