Retail is great if you are purely looking for YGs and other standard stuff. That said, obviously none of the hobby-exclusive content is included, so basically your only shot at a valuable card is hitting the big YG.

I think the biggest concern is the decrease in the odds of hitting a YG yet cost continues to increase. I am thinking of Blasters and Tins, if it is purely a retail box and you are just looking for the basic YGs then they are ok.

The retail boxes are still 1:4 packs for YGs, no?
I usually prefer the retail boxes just because my luck is so bad that it's not worth the extra $20 or 30 to gamble on hobby hits for me

Yes, 24-pack retail boxes are 1:4, always have been. But yes, retail blasters and tins...value significantly took a hit this year. Not good.
