Several new Tavares additions to the PC

I've finally had the opportunity to scan another 50+ Tavares cards into by photobucket and added another 10 more 1/1's. It's become more challenging to obtain certain cards as quick with the recent interest in Tavares. However, I've been fortunate to have members of HI help out.

I want to thank several HI members such as Gretzkycards, pharmd30usp, pathshot, burebuyer, cards1976, punkoholic and cassijon.

Especially to Daniel or danvincent78. His friendship, help and respect make this hobby and collecting enjoyable. Daniel is a first class person and an asset to HI.

If I missed any members that have helped or I traded with I apologize for not mentioning your name.

At this time I'm still above 99% of all the Tavares production cards created and have around 110 various 1/1's. There are a few cards coming in and I'll add them once they arrive.

None of the cards in my bucket are for sale.

Put aside a few minutes and try the slide show. :D:D:D :islanders:

Awe-inspiring collection, although I'm kinda sad to see some of the cards I've been looking for already in it...

HOLY COW!!!!! how can someone have so many cards even before they suit up in the NHL?

that is one incredible collection, keep it up!

However, when a player has only been in the league 4 months, and has over 100 1/1's (if I read that correct)...I'd say the card companies (ITG in this case) has oversaturated that market. I guess he was their "cash cow" for a few years...and they ran wild with it :)

Still....just an amazing collection you have going. Keep up the good work!!

But this is my FAV from your PC, but I'm biased since I pulled it from the only pack of phenoms I busted.

That is one fantastic collection... I was completely awe struck looking it over. Glad I could contribute to it. Keep up the good work.
 
JayKayZee - I'm sorry if my thread or me collecting Tavares is "bumming you out". However, I've been focused on collecting Tavares since his draft in the OHL and have put a ton of time and money into this collection for over 4 years. Other than the 1/1's, I only try and get one of the cards I need in each product, so anyone and everyone else has just as much of an opportunity to collect. Please don't be sad. I'd rather members have an opportunity to view the cards and at least know that many rare Tavares cards are with a true player collector.


koondog44 - I don't believe that ITG has "oversaturated that market". Many of the and my 1/1's are trade show and Expo cards. ITG was smart enough to recognize Johns talent, early. Because of the licensing monopolization ITG was limited to whom they can use and produce cards of. However, John Tavares does hold the record for the most cards produced of any player before he's been drafted into the NHL.
In time I'm sure UD will recognize his ability to put up points and produce many 1/1's in each new product, just as they have with Crosby and Ovechkin.

Congrats man... I know we've put a few sellers together with you through the HI booth at the Expo, and glad to have helped in some minor way.
 
Jack your Tavares collection is just Incredible! Hopefully you wont have too much trouble getting all of his UD RCs and parallels!
