If this isn't in the right place, feel free to move it, but this is more of a question for my friends to the Great White North.

This past 2 weeks or so I've noticed that the tracking I provide to Ebay buyers shows a delivery date over a MONTH! Is that truly how it is going?

Ex.

Estimated delivery
Wed, May 8

Just seems insane to me that it could really take this long for a packet?!

When I buy from the USA.... I swear it's quicker if it's shipped without tracking.

It probably will not take that long (I assume you're shipping via USPS?) but I think the "estimate" errs on the side of caution.

I got the same thing on a package purchased in March.

Shipped Mar 25 - Estimate delivery Wed May 1.

It's still in transit as I write this.

Another card I purchase a day earlier arrived in 4 days even though the delivery estimate was over a month.

I find that the delivery date it shows is really long and not accurate, especially if something is coming from the United States. If it shows a month, it's probably around two weeks (max) most of the time.

Sounds like this is more the norm than the exception, so I shouldn't be too worried. Thank you all for the input!

It is hard to predict how long Customs will delay the package. Perhaps they are accounting for that and when it arrives sooner people are happy.
