My wonderful girlfriend decided to get me something really special for my birthday on Monday and contemplated on various bits and pieces before settling on this. This indeed is a very special present and it is probably the best gift anyone has ever given me.
I give you the ultimate cornerstone to my Simon Gagne collection; signed game used gloves!!
I believe that these could have been used during his rookie season in Philadelphia as Easton was Gagne's choice of equipment during his first season in the NHL. He continued to use the Easton stick for a couple of years after 1999/00, but as for the gloves, I am 99% sure he switched to Bauer in his sophomore season.
Would LOVE to know which game these were used in by photo-matching, but feel this may be impossible now, being so long ago. Great evidence of game wear on them with scuffs, faded lettering, heavily used palms, confirmed with an awful stench inside, all capped off with a lovely silver auto on both gloves.
Now to find a nice display case!
P.s Here's a few recent-ish pick ups I have acquired, including an upgrade of the 2010/11 Cup Signature Patch (the other one, 2 colour patch is for sale, please enquire).
