Cause something stinks.
6-1 Canada through 2 periods. Getzlaf or Phaneuf is looking like the Gold Medal Game MVP. Ovechkin and Malkin are both invisible. All we need to cap this one off is Canada in double digit goals and Crosby to score one :D

I think we can safely say that this one is in the bag.

A goal on that 5 minute PP would have been nice.

yzyman, I don't know if you saw the game,
but in the last 2 minutes.
They cycled the puck along the boards, didn't shoot on goal.
last 10 seconds had a clear shot to the net, dumped it to the corner.
That's how you win without being hated.
that's how you win without showboating.
Couldn't be prouder of these kids.

There's really no point in me replying.
goal scoring does not equate to show boating.
in any way shape or form.
you can win 50-0 and not showboat

Yzyman - The Russians were celebrating empty net goals that were inconsequential with dramatics and taunting of the Americans. Up 6-1 at the end of the game, the Canadians just dumped the puck into the Russian end and did not do anything to try to disgrace their opposition. If what the Russians did yesterday did not offend the Americans then why is it widely reported that last years bitter nemesis came by the Canadian locker room today encouraging them to do everything they could to beat the Russians?

The point is I hope it offended the Americans.. Its a sport, these guys are 17,18,19.... If they cant handle some celebrating after a empty net goal, then they need to stay off of the ice.... Seriously cant comprehend why so many people think everything has to be sugarcoated not to hurt anyones "feelings".
 
The Russians feels won't be the things hurting, it'll be everything else when they get to the NHL.

But, whichever.
