New Member, Must Send First!
I don't usually start threads but I thought it'd do some greater good to share a good old fashioned yarn of a sniper and a gesture of great hobby sportsmanship!
I was recently outbid on a Mike Bossy (My All-Time favourite Isle) and thought my chances of acquiring this particular card in question..a Piece of History 500 goal club jersey card..slim to none...but a fellow hobbyist by the name of Ironman Indy aka Mr Generosity came to the rescue and (unbeknownst to me) secured the card. He must of picked it up at our local sunday hockey haunt. We missed our usual meet and greet so he stopped by my shack and lo and behold after he leaves I discover to my glee the very card I was recently lamenting about!!! A thing of beauty! WooHooo! Rarely are snipers known for their assist totals but this was and is the case!
If anyone has experienced a story of cardboard chivalry I strongly suggest that you share!
