So now that you've seen both; Ultimate or The Cup

Which is better?

id probably pick the cup any day over a box of ultimate.. of course, we'll see if I change my mind after i rip the 2 tins im getting in :)

well..for starters the price here in toronto isn't the same, with tins of the cup going for $600 and boxes of ultimate going for 400. getting that out of the way, with the breaks of the cup i have seen, there really isn't anything that REALLY stands out. everything has been done in prior sets. patch autos, autos on swatches, double patches, etc etc.

also with all the 1/1s it looks like artifacts all over again. with ultimate you have AMAZING looking swatches on the debut threads and larger patch cards. cards that blow your mind away. that being said, it's ultimate for me..

Personally, I like the design of UD Ultimate a lot better. It also seems that UD Ultimate had a lot less Q/C issues than are already appearing with The Cup.

I just don't think that The Cup is worth the price point. For that kind of high-end product... we should not be seeing Ty Conklin, Glen Murray, Alexei Yashin, and other mediocre (at best) players. Of course, the same can be said about putting every known rookie into the set.

I really like the simplicity of the UD Ultimate auto rookies /299 and /399.

i agree. the design on the cup looks kind of outdated. as for autopatches you can get similarly looking good swatches at a fraction of the price with hot prospects.

from the breaks i have seen there have been next to no QC issues with ultimate either. all the autos look sharp etc etc

I like Ultimate. Design, price, quality. But if someone needs RC Auto Patches there's no choice but to buy the Cup.

... or Hot Prospects. ;)

Only difference is hardsigned vs stickers. But for $300 more...

yup, price is the difference here and hot prospects offers some quality swatches at a fraction of the cost..same goes with ultimate actually..

Havn't bought either product, no funds at this time, but I like the disign of Ultimate a little better. Just find it a little classier looking design. Except for one the cup "property of" stick card I think those are great looking pieces and I'd like to get my hands on any one of them.

Between UD Ultimate and The Cup, I would do The Cup before.

But, if I wanted to spend that kind of money on cards, I would play with ITG Ultimate way before these UD products...
