I typically post on Instagram now with all my pickups (give me a follow at "jbcollectibles" but figured I would post up some of the stuff I have picked up over the last little while!

First up! Finally got this posted in my office at work:

Generosity from another board member. Surprised me in the mail with this baby for my set. I have never even seen a picture of the card before!

Been adding some '51 Parkhrust to the PC and may try to do the set. Mostly in lower grade, but still I am very happy to have them in the collection!

Now some odds and ends!

I love 80s error cards and this was a HUGE one. It took me forever to track one down and when I sent it to PSA they slapped it in an "authentic slab" as it looks like the card is slightly larger from not being cut properly when being released. Oh well, still a great card!

Hope you enjoyed the post!

That's an great mailday! Thanks for showing. Really loving all the vintage goodies.

Thank you! I pretty much am done with the what I need for the 80s and 90s (just a few more 90s inserts I need).

The new stuff doesn't excite me all that much so I am trying to pick up 50's and 60s stuff. With my budget it might be more on the low end side but I am very happy with it.

The '51 cards were almost a myth to me collecting in the early 90's before the internet. I rarely came across them at flea markets and smaller shows. I am surprised at how affordable the cards in lower grade can be. Cards that will grade out at PSA 1,2,3,4 for example are very affordable for the collecting on a budget but still have great eye appeal.

I'll ditto the great vintage pick ups but really love any sig pic of Palmateer. It just never gets old

Great haul

Congrats

Thank you for all the comments! I have some nice vintage goodies coming in so I will show them off when I have them in hand.

The Palmateer auto is something I really cherish! I was in a position where I had the opportunity to get to know Mr. Palmateer over a period of time and yes a few of my co-workers are jealous : )

The Fuhr was hand picked out of a big stack at the expo. It was the nicest looking out of the batch but I knew it had centering slightly off so I figured it would get an 8 or 9. I am happy either way!

Really love the Palmateer!i remember watching him play with what i consider the Leafs best looking uniforms ever and thinking, damn he looks sharp!beat my Rangers one too many times to actually collect though.
