Verified Trader ,
Hey all, greetings from the Larry Murphy Guy. Not much to add since my last S+T...cards I could use continue to pop up here and there, but until the prices get in line, Joe no buy.

91/92 Topps #277 Blank Backs PROOF by primetimepawich, on Flickr
92/93 Stadium Club #375 PRE PRINT PROOF by primetimepawich, on Flickr
I added all three of these "proofs" from the same seller. They can usually be had for a couple bucks, so if I have a small Ebay Bucks sum to use or Ebay runs a small 5% Ebay Bucks promotion, etc., these are a cheap way to get my numbers up if there's nothing else in my wheelhouse at the time.
For a while, I thought that might be all I would have to show for the summer. And it might have been, if not for our own HammerHawks Eric.
Eric saw this card in a break group on Facebook and was quick to bring it to my attention. If it was available, was I interested? In a word, yes. Provided, of course, that they weren't asking for the moon. They weren't.
I'm not a member of that group, so Eric took the lead 100%. He tracked down the winner and contacted them on my behalf to determine its availability and price. He then brokered a deal between myself, the breaker and the winner that saw me send Paypal to the winner and the card get shipped securely from the breaker. Despite having no direct contact with either of the other parties, the deal went off without a hitch.
If I'm spending my hobby dollars, it has to be on good value or something unique. This card kind of checks both boxes. I was immediately intrigued by it, never seeing or expecting a swatch like this in a random parallel /6. Different? Absolutely. For all the grief they get about not being able to use NHL logos, looks like Leaf found a loophole with this one:
17/18 Leaf The Sensational Swatch #SS02 Larry Murphy 4/6 by primetimepawich, on Flickr
Thanks, Eric - I couldn't have done it without you. If you hadn't seen it, it might have disappeared into Europe without a trace.
-Joe
