Well anyways incase no one knew, I coach 8th grade basketball with my friend (recreational). This is my second year as assistance/co-coach as last year I coached 7th grade with him. 7th grade we were 5-1 and lost in the finals by 4 points after beating the best team(8-0 record) in the semis so that was very disapointing.
But we are back again and finished this season 7-0 and looking to take it all the way! First round is on friday which we do not have to play in because top two teams get a bye, and then saturday is the semis and if we win we advance to the finals same day 2 hours after we finish the first game!
Funny thing is my friend has a great record in his 5 years of coaching and he is only 20 as of now. But last two seasons he has lost in the finals so he really wants that championship lol. He is an awesome coach with a lot of knowledge(and a huge jordan fan and bulls fan from the begining). he lost in finals with 5/6th grade team two years ago, last year with our 7th grade team, and now he wants it for once this year with our 8th grade team which we do have a very good shot!!! But it just reminds me of the Sacramento Kings, they go further and further but just can't seem to win it all lol.
Anyways didnt mean to diss my team but hey the truth is the truth and I myself will be crying and laughing at the same time if we lose! Wish us luck and I will update right away once I get back from the tournament!!!
