Hey guys, been a minute since I've put up a S&T thread, but I think the recent mail that I've received kind of warrants it.

I'll start off with a bit of the random stuff I've received over the past couple of months

2009/10 Upper Deck Black Carey Price Jersey Auto 23/25

2010/11 Crown Royal Heirs to the Throne John Tavares Jsy Auto

2008/09 SP Authentic Drew Doughty Future Watch Auto 654/999

2008/09 SP Authentic Claude Giroux Future Watch Auto 718/999

After picking up those last 2, and then with the Stamkos FWA that I already have I've been putting in some serious thought to putting that FWA set together

And now we move onto the PC Stuff. I had the pleasure of dealing with two stand up guys when making the deals for these 2 cards, Nathan7070 and CrazyOilerFan, thanks to those 2 for smooth and easy transactions. Without further ado my 2 Stamkos additions

2011/12 SP Authentic Steven Stamkos Dual SOTT TB/Can

and finally, another Stamkos Rookie Auto is crossed off the list.

He's a little beat up, but after talking with a couple of other friends and various collectors, I've been told that this wasn't uncommon for this set, much like SPx some cards were damaged during production/packaging

Moving right along, there's been alot of people I've talked to that have been waiting on redemptions for Martin Brodeur Autos from the 11/12 sets. I myself was one of those people, I had been waiting around 7 months for a SPA SOTT Triple Brodeur/Roy/Giguere to come in and low and behold, nothing. 2 weeks ago I finally said enough is enough and sent UD my list of players that I would accept as compensation and today my replacement showed up.

I opened up the fedex envelope, tore open the padded envelope inside and pulled out.........this

2009/10 SP Authentic Joe Thornton/Jonathan Toews Prestigious Pairings 37/100

Needless to say, I was mad, as I thought this was all that they had sent as compensation. I was ready to start breaking things, and was almost to the phone to call customer care to tear them a new one, but something made me stop. I calmed myself and went back to the envelope shook it a little bit and thank the hockey gods there was something else inside. I reached in, hands shaking with anticipation and pulled out........

...........wait for it

............sorry for the dramatic effect, but I'm quite the happy camper right now :D

.............this

2010/11 SP Authentic Sidney Crosby Limited Auto Patch 43/100

I honestly wasn't expecting anything like this. My hands were shaking when I pulled it out of the envelope and finally realized what I was holding in my hands.

I've always thought that I'd have to pay out the backend for a Crosby patch, let alone a patch auto, therefore I figured something like this would be out of my range as a collector.

I have to say a big thank you to Upper Deck for this one.

Thanks for taking the time to look guys, and comments are always welcome :D

LOL. Imagine if you chucked that envelope in your anger missing the Crosby. At least you're happy w/ the replacements - that's all that matters

Scary part is, I'm one of those people who just slips envelopes into the recycling, I don't even bother to crumple them up. I'm just glad that I was able to avoid that mishap.

And yes, I'm happy with the replacements, I would have been happier with a nice piece for the Stamkos collection, but I'm not gonna argue with a Crosby patch auto.....I'd be crazy if I did. He was the last player from my list I expected to get though.
