Hi All,

It has been a slow collecting month, but nonetheless, quality over quantity! Anyways, here are a couple of hockey pick ups from the "bay":

This past weekend, we travelled to Barrie, Ontario just to take in the festivities that they had going on there and happened to stumble upon a little store front that sold some vintage collectibles. When we saw it, we knew that we had to get it. Here it is:

If you cannot read the date, it is dated August 15th, 1945. Known as V-J Day (Victory over Japan Day), which signifies the Day that Japan surrendered in World War 2.

Now we just need to find a picture/poster frame to fit that :)

Thanks for the look!

Alright a show and tell from Tina!!!

Great autos of some legends there and the newspaper is an awesome historical piece. Always nice to see significant artifacts relating to important dates in human history

Congrats on the pickups and nice to see you are still active ;)

It is pretty exciting that we got to pick up some historical artifacts that do have some significant meanings to them. The place we went to, had an Orson Wells piece, so there is a chance that the next time we visit the place, we might pick it up (granted it is still there). There was an interesting piece of "old school" board game that we saw. It was "The Bionic Woman" board game. Anyone has any idea what kind of board game is it (whether or not it is like Risk/Life/Hungry Hippos)?

A bit off topic, the unfortunate thing, we never had the chance to visit The Icebox when we were there. We didn't really know how far it was relative to Downtown Barrie/Lakefront Barrie.

We will try to be a bit more active on the boards :)
