I got cheated at this show I did Sunday but it was my fault for not verifying it. I traded some baseball cards for a 2006 Upper Deck Legends Legendary Signatures #5 Troy Aikman SP bv$120 and didn't even realize that it was hand-signed Autograph instead of the authentic Auto from 2006 Upper Deck Legends!!

The card is suppose to look like this:

I got this on Sunday thinking it was the same card:

But doesn't it look like a real auto or fake? I was thinking about taking it to James Spence Authentication (JSA) if it is a real one.

What do you think? I'll probably never see the guy again but I should have noticed on the back that it doesn't say, "Congratulations, You have received a Troy Aikman...."

Ooo...that sucks. Hopefully you can get it authenticated, since in actuality, it is a much more attractive autograph.

I'd be tempted to go back and rip the guy who sold it to you a new one though. That's thievery, plain and simple.

Do you have any other Aikman Autos to compare it to ? The hard signed looks to have some big differences from the sticker auto.

Thanks
Dan

I'd say that's more a case of Aikman sitting down and signing a high volume of stickers. If you look at many of his sticker autos vs. his hard signed ones, the latter look a little bit more like the auto at the bottom.

That being said, I've never seen an Aikman auto that was that "wavy" for lack of a better term. I'd tread lightly and like you said, probably have it looked at by JSA
