Thanks to the Olympics I started liking Price now P.K :duh: I think my blue blood :leafs: needs an intervention lol

Who else here likes players from their teams biggest rival?

The Red Wings have been the Hawks biggest rival for decades, but there is some mutual respect between the teams unlike say Philly & Pitt. Even though they are the biggest rival, I still respect the hell out of guys like Yzerman, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Osgood, etc. You can hate a team all you want, but you have to respect what the organization has done and the HOF caliber players who were straight classy guys and good for the game as a whole. I found myself watching Wings games all the time just to see those guys play, didn't matter who they were playing against.

Loved Hextall, loved Hartnell, loved Jagr as a ranger too, love Lucic. Loved Satan when he was an Islander. I did hope he would have ended up in Newark so I could have had a Devils jersey with Satan on the back.

Lots of nice players in division rivals...

THIS.....

While the Flames don't have a "rivalry" against the red wings...they seemed to be a team that ALWAYS had their number in the regular season. Along with the Hawks.

But both teams have very classy players and I really do like the build of each team.

Just HATE losing to them all the time haha.

Times have changed. Being a leaf fan I should hate the Habs but that's not the case. I don't mind them and do enjoy watching PK and Price.I would have them both in TO in a heartbeat. The team I've disliked recently has been Vancouver but do respect what the Sedins have done

Great topic Scotty

I hate the entire Flames organization with the deepest part of my black soul, but there's no way you ever got me to say a horrible thing about Iginla, Conroy, or Regehr. On the present team, Giordano is awesome in my books.

People tell me that, as a Canuck fan, I'm supposed to hate Chicago and Boston, but I don't. If I did, Toews and Bergeron would definitely be on my 'love them but hate the team' list.

I get weird looks all the time when I tell people that the Bruins are my second favourite team. I would love to have Chara or Bergeron on the Habs.

I hate the Bruins with every fiber of my being, but I can't hate Patrice Bergeron. He's a real, class act, with a great career.

I hate the Oilers, I hate the Canucks, but I did like Linden and now hall and eberle, but thats where it ends, lol
go flames go

I'm the same with Toews, and since P. Kane has matured, it's hard not to like what he does on the ice.

I don't know anyone that can dislike Toews. I still harbor some hard feelings towards Kane for when he mocked Burrows' goal tribute to Luc Bourdon.

There are no teams that I hate. There are players that I really dislike. That said there I can't think of a player in the league that I dislike so much that I wouldn't like to see them playing in Vancouver. If someone can help them win that's all that really matters to me.

I started liking the Leafs a bit, 2 seasons ago when they were in the playoffs against the Bruins I was cheering for them. They have players with potential they just need to materialize that in a team that makes the playoffs year in year out especially for their fans they are loyal as can be despite their failure.

The Bruins On the other hand I just can't stand them. Bergeron is one great player I just wonder how brave he would be with a Habs sweater on instead of the Bruins jersey?

Not in any way at all trying to start a pissing match here, but what do you mean by this statement?

When I think of players who are 'tough (brave)' because of the backup they have for teammates, Bergeron is one of the last people I'd put in that category.

Like I said, not trying to start a pissing match; we all have opinions, I'm just curious.
