SP Retail/SP Authentic Question

I saw some boxes of 22/23 SP Retail broken at the Expo this weekend.

Some of the inserts (Authentic Profiles comes to mind), on the back they say they are from 22/23 SP Authentic.

Did Upper Deck intend these to be in 22/23 SP Authentic, then made the switch to include them in retail? Was this the case in other years of SP Retail?

No Upper Deck just screwed it up. Previous years products say SP Retail for the same cards. Quality control over there is embarrassing.

Thinking now that UD defiantly intended these cards to be in SP Authentic and not in SP Retail. Hope PJ can shed some light on this.

No, Authentic Profiles and SP Rookie Authentics are just SP Retail inserts.
