Had a very nice 1 card mail day yesterday.

Finally in hand, my 2013-14 Black Diamond Quad Diamond Relic Rookie Alex Galchenyuk. The card is absolutely stunning in person. Pic looks good but doesn't do it justice.

For those not familiar with the Quad Relic Draft, here is the draft night thread: http://www.hobbyinsider.net/forum/showthread.php?t=371591

So I'm not a habs fan at all, but this will be in my side PC for a while at least b

CMB - I think I have a Rick Nash auto in there - ha!

Fantastic card - congrats on one of the best and thanks for sharing the whole experience with us!

They are 1 carat each, so each card has 4 carats of diamonds on them. For all of us who have gone engagement ring shopping you have an idea of the value in the diamonds alone!

1 carat means nothing... its all on the cut/colour/clarity..... i bought a .50 carat ring that cost twice as much as the 1.1 carat ring that is more then double the size... these are likely manufactured/synthetic diamonds unless of course they come with a COA from the gemologist... haha

none the less a real good idea for a card... and even better the #2 pick !

That is probably the best looking Black Diamond card I have ever seen! Regardless of the diamond quality, etc, it is a great concept.

Unbelievable card Rich, huge congrats to you! That's honestly one of the nicest cards I've ever seen.

+1 certainly was a great idea who ever came up with it.... who would have thought a BD quad rc could be considered the best of the best rookie cards? puts it up there with the cup rookies :) at a much lower price point to boot!
