Sakic has given them all the talent they need, they figured out how to get to the 3rd round and take on the worlds two best players, and, despite key injuries, WIN.

I don't think much can stop these boys from winning it all. Cup to the Rocky Mountains, America side.

Avs in 5

I think it will go 7. Tampa is a bit of a different animal than the Oilers. I would be stoked for Corey Perry if Tampa won but hoping Avs will win.

Tampa is much deeper than Edmonton, but the Avs are crazy deep this year. If Lightning win, it will be because of Vasilevskiy, he will definitely by the difference.

Heart says Avs, head says Tampa. Vasilevskiy has been GOAT-level stingy. Kemper and Francouz have been...let's go with porous. I don't think either of them can steal a game and that's an absolute necessity in this contest.

Still, gonna be a great series.

I am with you 100%

Honestly, I think Avs take this. Vassi has shown signs of chinks in his armor at points during these playoffs, and the Avs have shown they are able to keep up with elite scoring as well. We shall see; should be fun either way.

Tampa winning 3 cups in a row would be something we haven’t seen since the 80s. As much as that would be impressive to see, my heart wants Colorado to win.

Avs in 6.

Tampa in 6. Consistency of quality goaltending is going to be the difference.

I do think there is a shot for Makar though to win the Conn Smythe, even in a loss... though it probably goes to Vasilevsky again, giving us the opportunity to once again bask in a beer fueled Kucherov hilarious rant...

I think Kuemper is a bit under rated, he's no Vasilevsky but he is a decent goalie. If he is healthy I could see him being good enough for Colorado to win. I'm predicting Colorado in 6 if Kuemper is healthy.

Tampa in 5 or 6. They’ll easily handle the Avs. Superior goaltending, deeper at all positions, heaps more experience, and no 9 day break. It could even be a sweep.

Colorado in a close game 6 over Tampa.
It will all come down to Defensive scoring. Colorado has a deeper talent pool with D scoring, Makar, Teows, almost all of the rest are just a step behind. Tampa has trouble producing beyond Hedman, and there is a significant drop after him. They rely on their forwards a lot, who do their job well, but when they don’t, it usually is Hedman picking up the slack.

If Tampa wins, Hedman should win a Conn Smythe, he should have had it last year. If Colorado wins, Mac or Mak should get it, no goalie unless there are tight games and a lot of saves, but it is dark horse voting if it goes to a Colorado goalie. But, whoever puts up the most points in the series will get the Conn Smythe. Stamkos may get it if he scores at least one more game winner.

I better revise this now that 4 or 5 won’t happen.

If any team can come back against the Avs from a 2-0 deficit, it’s Tampa.

Lightning in 7

(I reserve the right to revise this again ;-)
