Got a nice phone call from work at 6:48AM saying I can have the day off so naturally I said hell yeeaah new best friend. With that bit of happy news I went back to bed. Eventually waking up to the bright sun and birds chirping. Best way to wake up even better then folgers.

Did some stuff to plan my new day. Pull started the old PC and came across this not so happy message from an ebayer:

Buyer

Hello.
I am really disappointed because I paid for this item on January 15, and that included $14.00 for "expedited shipping." Also, your tracking info suggest that I received this item on January 26. This is all untrue. I just received this item TODAY, March 6, 2021. It really angers me that it is nearly 2 months from purchase, but what angers me more is that you somehow rigged the tracking to show a completely different date. The item appears to be in fine condition, so I have no issues there, but I hope you understand this tracking situation really disturbs me. Even the dates on the package indicate that the EARLIEST you could have shipped was on 2/19/21. (see photos)
Sincerely,
Dr. D.

I did no such thing wish you would have contacted me sooner. That's not even my hand writing I don't know who wrote that.

Buyer

I just got the item I’m the mail today! That is why I am contacting you today!
Through the week, I am not home when mail arrives. Since today is Saturday, I got the mail myself. I just assumed we received this 2 months ago!
And the way you are handling this makes me feel like I need to report you directly to eBay. Since you claim no responsibility for your items being received nearly 2 months after purchase.

Excuse me the way I'm handling this? You left me Positive feedback a long time ago it showed as delivered. I never even sent you that envelope it's clearly from Toronto and sent from Canada Post in scarboroug. Can I see the card that actually came out of that envelope because this looks like something crazy is going on here.

Buyer

I always leave positive feedback when the buyer/seller I transact with does the same for me. Like I said, the tracking info said I received the item on January 26, so I just assumed it did. I also receive a LOT of items on eBay and I cannot always see them when my wife opens mail and does whatever she does with it. Per your request, I am including a photo of what came in the package. I told you in my initial email, I have no issue with the item itself, it is just the shipping delay and corresponding info that bothers me. It even made me think I had an item that I had never received.

WTF you got the wrong seller bud I never even sold you those cards. This is all starting to make sense now I sold you the Synergy card of Lafreniere. You need to be more careful in how you handle things. Good day sir.

I had a guy do that to me last summer on a $2 Synergy card that he bought multiple copies of. Confused me with the seller who shipped in a plain white envelope. Before you fly off the handle at someone make sure you got your facts straight.

Sorry you had a crappy start to what should have been a good day.

Crappy. I would think one would look at the order more carefully before sending an email like that. I hoped they apologized.

Similar has happened to me 10 or so times. Latest was last week. Not quite as rude as this person was but once I've told them they have the wrong seller they all apologized.

Post his eBay ID, I’d like to block this idiot from ever bidding on my auctions.

I'd have to agree with the above comments.

An apology for this buyer is truly required.

I did get an apology in the end but I was still in a crappy mood so I just left it alone after that and went to Tims to get out of the house. I really was shocked to find out this guy was likely a doctor. Between his ebay handle and with a quick search on google with his name when I verified his shipping address I found a medical practice. I would assume he understands shipping to the US during a covid lockdown just after the holidays could have caused delays. Instead he insisted on blaming me for tampering with the tracking and me not taking responsibility.

Just proves one dimensionally minded people do exist and even worse are coming into the hobby in droves. I would have added his ebay ID but I'm not sure if that's allowed. If so I can post for anyone to potentially avoid this person. However I don't feel it will help much since the hobby has grown and attracted many very similar people in the hobby who are only interested in instant gratification.

Just my personal opinion, but I'd just move on and forget about the whole thing. It's obvious the guy made a error, we all have, and has apologized so, imo, it is not worth reliving this over and over.

While that's admirable sentiment, irv, my charity has limits. The price of moving on is the capacity to never deal with him.

I'm sure the guy feels like an idiot, any normal human would, and I personally think he'll be sure to double/triple check next time before he starts to point fingers.

Again, just my opinion, but that's how I'd deal with it.

Normally I'd agree, take the high road, and so on... but any dummy who claims that you somehow rigged the tracking without looking at addresses, cards involved etc. is a special kind of person that I wouldn't want to deal with in the future. We all make mistakes, but this is a little more extreme, IMO

:D Yeah, you have a point there.

Thanks again to everyone for all the support. This actually helps knowing there is still plenty of good people in the hobby.
