No idea what's going the other way as of yet (per TSN) *EDIT* Apparently 7th overall pick and Anthony D'Angelo.

Rangers have about $20M to burn in cap space - so expect another shoe to drop tonight

Wouldn't be surprised if the NYR take a run at Duchene.....

I've heard Montreal, NYR, Nashville and Pittsburgh all attached to Duchene but not sure about the return?

Avs HAVE to make a big move or two and I'm guessing Dutchy is the first one out the door from the current roster.

Considering they've now lost two centres in the last 48 hours - Duchene is probaly one of them and since the Rangers have the #7 pick, that would be part of the currency needed for a team that needs a lot of picks right now

Definitely another big move or signings coming from the Rangers. Just removed over $5million from the books with this deal. Now they have enough to sign a legit #1 center and a top pair right Dman.... as well as the couple 3rd and 4th line RFAs they need to get back under contract.

Remember as well the Predators were gutted losing James Neal in the expansion draft and Duchene has played the wing in his career more than most realize. Or someone on the Preds can move to wing. Nashville wants to keep the momentum going so they need another scoring forward.

I think this was a good deal for both teams. Step had a NTC kicking in July 1st, so moving him after that point becomes that much harder. Really lacking top prospects, so Lias helps there, and Deangelo is also a great addition considering we have no RHD outside of Klein (who might go to Europe). I'm hoping Hayes or Miller will be able to take on a bigger role with the team and help fill the Step void.

From the Yotes perspective, they get a 1B center and their starting goalie, clearly got better short term. This trade, along with the hjalmarsson trade and the development of their young players, could have them pushing for the playoffs this coming year
