His shootout "goal" never crossed the line as replays clearly showed. Wings were outplayed in the 2nd half of this game by all means, and it was a fun game to watch. To have it decided like that, though, was a shame.

Ott however has earned a new place with me as the most friggin' annoying player in the league. Dallas fans...do you even condone this guy's antics? He's shown he has skill, but all the idiotic hijinks on the ice overshadow that by a long shot.

As Bugs Bunny would say "What a maroon!".

The replay's didn't show that it wasen't a goal but the refs said they saw it go in and I am sure it did because after it was on the line and Howard reached to pull it out he pulled his glove back then up to take it out...but i don't know and don't care the STARS WIN!!

Then why did the ref wave the goal off on the ice???

The ref immediately waved it off as a no goal. I'm not against the Stars winning, but there was no conclusive evidence to show the puck went across the line.

I didnt see the play, but I agree with your view on Ott. He is very skilled, but he acts like a total clown. I would be embarrassed to be his teammate. I still enjoy watching the replays of Ference laying him out last year.

Tomas Holmstrom is way more annoying, at least Ott will look you in the face and drop the gloves from time to time. Holmstrom will just use his stick and then hide behind the refs. But even Holmstrom isn't the most annoying in the entire league, that would be reserved for Maltby, the biggest yapper and cry baby to ever wear the winged wheel.

Holmstrom? Really? Now that's a typical blackhawk fan comment!

The Red Wings feed was awful. They were cutting off the slow mo replays too early. At the very end they showed a different angle that looked to be from near the benches, and you could see the puck behind the line, but they QUICKLY cut out of it and went to showing live action of the refs talking

Anyways, the other refs overruled the decision of the one that waived it off right away because they said they saw it go in

The ref with the better view called no goal. The one who was standing back called it a goal. But when Toronto reviewed it there had to be conclusive evidence that it hadnt crossed. Which there really wasn't, the top view was especially useless. The ref who had the better view shouldn't have been able to be vetoed

Ott's a decent player, but his jackass antics overshadow his skill. He's just embarassing himself. You can play with an edge and grit, but he acts like a donkey. Have some self-respect.

Seriously, you aren't going to defend Holmstrom are you? The guy is one of the biggest hack and whack pests out there but he doesn't get the negative attention because he's a Wing. Same with Maltby, those two hacks get away with more then any other players in the NHL.

Honestly, watch how he acts and picture him in a Blackhawk or Avalanche jersey. You would hate him if he wasn't a Wing.

According to Babcock after the game the league said the video was inconclusive so they went with the on ice call.

Thats what I mean. The ref with the better view who was 3 feet away and said no goal should have been the one to make the final call. Not the one who was 20 feet away picking his nose.
