StickHandled my way to some great cards at the Calgary Card Show

Yesterday was the Calgary Card Show at the Thorncliffe/Greenview Community Center, with a chance to meet up with some friends and browse some cardboard. :rock: I managed to add to my Mask II and Mask III cards (dozen more), as well as pick up a few 70's cards. Had a chance to say hi to several of our members: Darren (MLS), JR, Art (Hama), Jason (Orvy), and stopped by to purchase some soccer cards from Dave (canucksfreak19) and Mike (Eastridge).

It was great to have an extended visit with Jayden (hen44jay) and Brett (bamlinden) as well. While we were talking beside the MLS tables a box of President's Choice Game-Used StickRack Update caught my eye, so I decided to give it a try. It was a great box, with the top card playing into my title, a Jim Pappin StickHandle 1/1 card. I always have a great appreciation for cards from that era, I started watching hockey in the late 60's.

Thanks again to Darren for offering us a local show, it was a real treat to spend some time there.

For those of you that haven't had the pleasure of meeting us, that's Brett (bamlinden), me, and Jayden (hen44jay) in the selfie. :beer:

Great to see you again Al, nice pick-ups! I should try and grab some Canadian Men's national soccer team cards too... really inspiring play from them, they have people in Canada pumped. Can't wait for the World Cup cards coming up! I had to try a pack of President's Choice stickrack too... nice cards.
