Well, I said when I wrote my orientation intro that I had or would have questions to ask.
I guess it's more of a personal preference of mine regarding numbered cards.
If two identical items are offered numbered of... /599 for example, I'd pay slightly more for #74/599 as opposed to the item #'d 512/599.
Now I know the significance of 001/XXX, and to have the player's jersey number
appear is always cool, too.

Does anyone else prefer lower numbers, or consider them "superior" to the higher number cards in a numbered issue??

yup I like the lower numbers better although I wont get choosy but if I can pick one over another I will always go with the lowest number unless the card is 599/599. I will always go with the lower issued card. I guess it is all preference.

I'm the same as Josh it doesn't matter to me they all book the same but it's always nice to see when that 41/100 pops up if it's dirk it has more sell value, so yeah Ill try to get it, just cause its the players jersey #, but other that it really doesn't matter....

Thanks for the input, guys!
at least I know I'm not a totally neurotic FREAK...
or, I guess at least there is one other freak out there.
j/k ;) :D ;) :D ;)

WOW!! Now that(the Brunell Collection) is thorough!
He looks for all three(#1, jersey #, and last produced) and has 14 issues with all 3! Feeling more normal all the time...
:D

Thanks for the link.

i like lower numbered autos when the print run is high because i feel the lower the number the better looking the auto will be

I remember when serial numbered cards were "the in thing" back in the mid-90s and people DID like lower #d cards (me too!). One example, would be 1992 Collector's Edge base cards that were serial #d to 100,000. I remembered I was estatic to get some common cards that were serial # below 1,000! Were we crazy back then or what!

It really doesn't mean anything anymore. Even #1s and jersey #s have lost alot of it's popularity over the last 3-4 years. However, there are still a few hardcore player collectors that like #1 and jersey #s (including myself of course).

That's kinda my logic with hard signed pieces...after 599 times the guy has gotta be getting fed up or tired...or both. :-/

Man, you gotta be the Brunell guru with that collection! Nice stuff!!
I'll get me a #1 or a jersey # one of these days. They still demand a premium...one I'm usually not willing to pay.
:D
