Tagliabue to retire in July!!!

I have to admit I didn't see this one coming. I guess usually things slip out one way or another and become rumors. I had not heard anything about Paul thinking of stepping down into retirement so was kind of shocked to see this on the ticker for ESPN!! Here more from yahoo.com jason

i was surprised when i saw that he was retiring too. i wonder who his replacement will be?

It's sad that he's retiring, as he was the main reason the CB got done. I don't know who will replace him, but it is worrisome as the league came very close (by all public accounts anyway) of blowing it's legs off. How the players and owners don't see they have the best professional sports league due to the CB agreement they have is beyond me. It's also why we, as fans, are always talking FA every year to see our team get better.... or worse.
