Texans ink DE Williams

Surprisingly I'm very happy with this pick. Don't get me wrong, I would have absolutely LOVED to watch Reggie or Vince every week, but Mario is a beast and players like him are MUCH tougher to come by than Running backs (Example Terrell Davis, Domanick Davis, etc.... late round picks). Now if we go OT and take Winston with the first pick of the 2nd round it will actually seem like this team is being run by someone who actually understands the game. And in case this hasn't hit the net yet, Charley Casserly will be fired after the draft. He is just a talking head and has no say so in who the Texans draft this weekend. The Mario Williams pick was Kubiaks decision.

Did you listen to the GM talk about his choices a couple days ago? He was saying Bush is a dynamic player but we really need defense. We as a team really need to think about our needs. The Texans lost something like 8 games after having the lead and couldn't hold it because of their Defense. I think it was for the best.

I always thought San Fran were going to move up into the top three by giving up one or two of their first round picks.

hm i have not heard this...all i hear is what a buffoon matt millen is and will no doubt draft a WR or QB with the 9th pick...hm very intersting to hear they want to move up for reggie bush. he certainly looks like the real deal to me.

NO was talking Williams or Hawk

Titans would take Bush if he fell to 3
Jets stink and need a QB but Bush would be a great replacement for CMAR.
Plus you have the teams like the sneaky raiders.

they should trade Aaron Rodgers to the Raiders for the 7 pick

I think they only have the pooper for another year...Ahman status is uncertain in my book...Gado looked good last year, he's a keeper. Herron was a stop-gap type of a deal with Pittsburgh.

What a shock! Amazing to think that going Bush is going from the consensus first overall pick ever since Reggie made his mark in college to the possible fourth pick overall. If you think about it, the Saints land D'Brickshaw, Titans need a QB which leaves Bush sneaking into the Jets' hands. WOW and good for the Texans.

bush will go two, someone will trade up and get him. And I'm guessing the saints dont want to trade too far down swapping picks unless they get multiple #1s

In my opinion, the Texans should have traded down and tried to fill more than one hole with this pick.

The Texans have a lot of holes to fill, but RB is not one of them. I think they made the right choice going with Williams over Bush.
