Hey all,
So I went to the BIG Show today, and it was nice to see some familiar faces and meet some new HI members! It was also nice to see Jason's Crosby tag in person... Also, Greg (thecooker24...?) was sweet to talk to, and he pulled a femur, and some other goods from his Champs break. I'm sure I can look forward to his post. Anyway, the going was kind of rough for Kesler cards, so it was up to Randy (Orca Pod) to make my trip worthwhile. I think his mission was accomplished.... I also haven't posted in a long while, so I'll start off with some PC mail from the past month.
Gotta love the Team Issued cards that have no numbering... I'm also quite fond of the rookie season /50.
I was surprised at how cheap these are going for, so I decided it was a worthy pick up despite it not only having Kesler on the card.
These twins are the first Jersey #'d badboys I've picked up!
So that's it for mail. Now onto the show pickups, almost solely courtesy of Randy.
I figured it out, Randy! The /99 is the hobby RC, and the /199 is the hobby parallel. The retail RC is /750, and it's parallel is /225. Stupid set up...
Now a decent start to a run for me:
Now, all I need is the Pewter /10 and the Blue (which I'll never get).
Here, we come to our four stars of the day! (Everyone knows four is the new three.) Realistically, all four of them are kind of tied...
4. Randy kept popping out cards I never thought I'd see!
3. Next we have my one and only non-Randy show pickup. It's snazzy, although the auto label kind of bugs me:
2. Yet another /10 I didn't expect to own:
aaaaaand
1.
Whoops! I guess I don't have to track that Pewter down after all!
If you lasted this long, thanks for the read! Comments are welcome!
Go :canucks: go!
OH! PS: Greg and Randy wanted me to show off this sweet entry draw win!
Scanners are so much cooler than cameras...Duh...
