First, Lou Lamoriello trades for Los Angeles' 208th pick. Then this happens :

23 years after the New Jersey Devils drafted Martin Brodeur, they select his son. Even better, they let Martin call the pick. What a classy move by Lamoriello and the Devils organization.

And if you don't remember the 1990 Draft, here's something to refresh your memory :

Nolan, Nedved, Primeau and Ricci all had great careers, but what a steal at 5th overall! And what about Brodeur... ;-)

Pretty cool moment, and also nice of the Kings to basically throw that pick to New Jersey so it could happen. Marty looked pretty proud!

He'll never fill his father's foot steps but that is such a classy way to "throw a pick to the wind" and with luck, it could be an insane story in a decade....

That was awesome to watch. I sat through the whole day and while it got boring through the late rounds, that moment made it worthwhile. Very classy move by the Kings and the Devils. Was great catching a glimpse into his relationship with his son.

that was one of the best moments of the draft in my mind

we see if he does play for the devils down the road
