The Dark Knight

I have never opened any non sports cards but I have been lurking around here for a few months checking out the breaks and I must say some of the stuff looks rather fun. Does anyone know if there is Dark Knight cards coming out? If so by who and what kinda price point are we talking?

Oddly enough, I've not heard of anyone picking this one up. The usual suspects for DC and/or Batman are Topps and Rittenhouse, neither which are putting anything out for the movie. I suppose through some miracle something could be released tomorrow, but in this day and age with leaks and whatnot, I'm sure we would have heard something by now.

Yep, I got confirmation on another message board I visit that Warner Bros did not offer a trading card license to a third-party for Dark Knight. The only thing I have heard of is an all-sticker release from a company called Playground Maniacs, but that's all I know about it.

Rittenhouse is coming out with a Batman Archives set, but I've not seen enough of it to know if there will be be any TDK-related cards/inserts/sketches in it.

I haven't heard anything about The Dark Knight cards, but how sick would it have been to have included a Heath Ledger auto in there? I'm surprised they didn't push a card set with this movie.

I also thought the same about The Incredible Hulk, but my local shop sent an e-mail out with Hulk info from RA. Supposed to ship in October with only 4,000 cases being produced. Edward Norton, Liv Tyler and Lou Ferrigno have all signed. Ferrigno features his auto with the Hulk as he voiced The Hulk's few speaking lines. Norton has a Banner card and a Hulk card as a case incentive.

The lack of Dark Knight cards is one of the real head scratchers out there, to be honest.

I personally don't have a lot of interest in the Hulk, but I may spring for a Norton or Lou auto. We'll see.

I always like Rittenhouse's cards, though.
