The Sundin comment was mentioned as an aside to my overall point. I don't think it is fair to whatever team he goes to that he gets to miss training camp, etc. Do you think what Niedermayer and Selanne did last year was right? I don't believe it was a matter of the media misconstruing the deadline either. The deadline was set, and he extended it or let it pass. Not sure what kind of hockey coverage they have up there in Japan, but here in Canada, we get the best coverage and the media is fairly reliable on news like this. You seem a bit too passionate about this, IMO. "Get off the guys case"? This is league discussion and a lot of people are frustrated with this, and many valid points have been made.
