The GS WARRIORS in 1st place

Agreed - 13 years since they've been in 1st. I think that Mullins was EXTREMELY smart in keeping the core of the team together -- Richardson, Dunleavy, Murphy, Foyle, and Cheaney. Peitrus, Cabarkapa, and Beidrins were great down the stretch last year. The Davis trade seems to be the missing key AND BD is healthier this year - if he can stay healthy all year this would be awesome. Diogu and Taft have done very well so far.

I remember the Warriors of old Hardaway, Richmond, Mullins and Webber. Now that was a great core of players. Then everything went to hell.

I also remember Jamison, Arenas, Hughes (not so much so), but again BYE BYE.

I hope this TEAM sticks together for the long haul. I know each current player has their faults, but as a unit they have played 3-4 years together and that's a major advantage over other teams. I look at Houston and as much as I like Yao and McGardy - the other 10-12 players seem to change with every couple of months. For Yao he needs a core of players to "know" in order to gel with them--I think the Warriors finally have that (they haven't had that for a decade now)! Sorry for the ramble!
