Another great year is past us. It sure does go by quick as you get older.
Wow, it only took 13 months, but I finally have my Certified redemption, it's FT for John Moore and Kris Russell stuff. I got the Mason in a couple packs of retail, I always like hitting CBJ stuff.
Now the PC's
I decided a while back I wanted to start this set, so I picked up a few good copies at the local big show that happens quarterly. I accidently picked up a few copies of OPC of the same year, they are FT.
Kubalik /25 This just goes in my ever expanding random CBJ RC parallel's. A great one for only $5 shipped, he is a pretty decent prospect.
now for the Russell pickups.
Finally found a gold, have yet to see a black, but we'll keep at it.
The ever elusive 08-09 Blank back, this is the first copy I've seen and that completes the OPC blank back collection of Russell. Still missing this year's Moore though.
As for Moore...
Not a ton of copies of this card out there. Happy to finally have it in hand.
Now for the biggie.
Moore /5 Only copy listed so far... what's worse is 3/4 corners were damaged during shipping. It was shoved in one of those flimsy graded card sleeves that vintage guys use. I was so mad when I opened it and saw the damage. The guy told me to return it, but I don't know if I'll see another copy so I guess I'll just have to eat it.
Now just the fun story.
Just a random photo of our daily (pre winter) hockey outside the house. The pond hasn't frozen yet, I'm trying to get him finally to learn to skate, but the weather isn't cooperating at all.
Back before the season started, the Jackets had a contest and were giving away 30 really good prizes the 30 days before the season started. I applied and forgot about it, then the 5th day I received an email say I won 6 Loge Box tickets to the Jackets vs the Leafs and a Zamboni ride. That was at the beginning of Nov and somehow there was a mix up and my son wasn't able to ride the zam. He was slightly disappointed, I say slightly b/c he was kind of scared in the first place. haha
So the manager gave me 4 more lower bowl tickets to the Lightning game on Dec 17th. Anyhow to the pictures (he has his own CBJ jersey, but wanted to wear his hoodie for whatever reason)
