The Mario Mosaic and a great cause.

Great article and I still can't believe those are pictures of the fans and workers who built the new CONSOL Energy Center.

“This is a fitting tribute to Mario because it is more about the fans than Mario himself, which is what his legacy is,” Penguins CEO and President David Morehouse said. “Everyone whose image makes up the mosaic donated $66 dollars. That money goes to cancer research and Austin’s Playroom. In a very important way, the mosaic ties together the Penguins, the Mario Lemieux Foundation and fans and supporters from around Pittsburgh and the world.

This is awesome. I was there to see it unveiled and I could not believe my eyes.. Absolutely beautiful.

I am in that thing, me and my buddy are on Mario's pants stripe on the far right. We had a stanley cup party at my house the year they won, my wife made a fake stanley cup, and when the team photo was taken, we paused the tv and put our cup in front and laid down with it, it's pretty funny picture, I was drunk of course. If you go to the website and type in "casey2" we are the first picture and I am the guy on the right of the cup w/winter classic jersey on.
