Now that he won't be a Shark, what players have the best chance of playing their entire career with one team. And let's only go with the who started before the 04/05 lockout.

Daniel, Henrik Sedin - started in 00/01. IMO, it's a good possibility they will retire Canucks.. two more years left on the contract

Shane Doan - started in 95/96. Unfortunately, it looks like the Coyotes have told him he is not part of the plan anymore. If he plays, it will be somewhere else.

Patrik Elias - started 95/96 - is he signed yet with the Devils? I can't see him playing anywhere else

Henrik Zetterberg - started 02/03. he's signed until he's 40. I can't see him ever leaving the Red Wings.

Am I missing anyone?

Though they are post lockout, Maybe Sidney Crosby? He is signed until 2025 and has a No Movement Clause in his contract. Malkin and Anze Kopitar have similarly structured contracts as well.

My best,

Ken

If the Habs can sign Markov he'll most likely finish his career in Montreal. Drafted in 1998 by the Canadiens, started playing in the NHL in 2000. I really hope Bergevin will be able to sign him.

I think those 3 are both excellent choices being they already have long-term deals, they are well over halfway into their careers, and, most important, they've all won multiple Cups so that need to "finally get one" will never be there. And in this vein, add Towes, Kane, and possibly Keith.

I DID hear once that Sidney Crosby had a hankering to play for Les Habitants.

Randy, the Sedin's are on the last year of their deals. I don't see them retiring after this season, be interesting to see if they move on.

Looks like he will finish is career in the KHL. Surprised the Habs didn't want him as the blue line could have used him for one more season.

His asking price was ludicrous.

For one year? I don't know what the ask was, but the Habs have $8.5M in cap space, and already have 23 players under contract. If they actually fancy themselves as Cup contenders a d-man that can move the puck would really help. Maybe the front office doesn't actually see the team as contender anymore.
