So, I finally got to my parents side of the basement and found stuff I thought got thrown away. About 700 cards dating back to 1983-84 OPC up to 1993-94 (most of the 93-94 stuff is leaf inserts and a couple Team Pinnacle). I counted 695 total.
The highlights of this lot are:
(19)83-84 OPC Bellows RC's
(3 each) 84-85 OPC Gilmour and Lafontaine RC's
(9) 85-86 Al Iafrate RC's
(5) 85-86 Al MacInnis RC's
87-88 RC's of Tocchet (19), Tikkanen (5), Samuelsson (24), Oates (2), Hextall (2), McSorley (37....must of liked him when he was a Penguin), Vernon (9), C. Lemieux (3), Richer (3), Wregget (35...see McSorley), Damphousse (24...no explanation. He wasn't a Penguin), Robataille and 1 each of non RC's Lemieux and Gretzky.
88-89 OPC RC's of Nieuwendyk (7), Burke (7), Turgeon (3), Gagner (36), S. Smith (11)
89-90 OPC Sakic (12), 90-91 UD Fedorov (13), 91-92 UD Selanne (7), 91-92 UD Czech Kariya (5) and 92-93 UD Kariya (35).
Most cards are in Near Mint or better so I'm guessing no one even touched that side of the basement for years. Also found about 1800-2000 88-89 OPC commons in near mint shape along with 400-550 87-88 OPC commons. I have no idea what II'm going to do with them. It's just fun taking a look at how awesome the hobby was when we were a lot younger. Wish it still was like that today.
