The "huge announcement" just for anybody that didn't catch it is Kenny Florian announcing his retirement due to injuries. Kind of interesting full circle. His career with the UFC starts and ends on the heels of Ultimate Fighter.

Great story in Mike Chiesa really glad he won.

Not embarassed to admit that I my eyes welled up quite a bit when he won. I did not watch this years TUF as I missed too many episodes at the beginning. But, if this is his game and how he fights he has a TON of holes to fill before he mixes it up with the guys in the UFC.

You're right; but that's the way the show is now. There are no more Rashad Evans, Diego Sanchez's, or Forrest Griffin's. If there is a really good prospect they'll be signed to a deal, not put on TUF.

$40K Bonuses: Fight of the Night - Justin Lawrence/John Cofer, Submission of the Night - Michael Chiesa, and Knockout of the Night - Justin Lawrence and Martin Kampmann. Going to tape the fights here and watch them in the morning sounds like it was a fun little card.

Definitely going to be a candidate for KO of the year.

Got to see the card, the Lawrence knockout was very impressive; however, Edson Barboza's spinning wheel kick on Terry Etim is still a lock for Knockout of the Year. And Oliveira's submission of Brookins was textbook. And while I'm sure he got a large discretionary bonus backstage he was robbed of the recognition of having the true submission of the night. Can't wait til next Friday night and McCall/Johnson II. That's going to be a barn burner.
