THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! Topps screwed me on my redemptions!

Ok I sent in 4 redemptions for 03-04 Topps Matrix Dwayne Wade Rookie Autographs. I sent them in well before the expiration date. Well today I get a mailer from Topps.

Inside is:

05-06 Bowman Chrome:

Rashad Mccants Ref Auto /50

Raymond Felton Ref Auto /50

Gerald Green Auto /250

Hakim Warrick Auto /250

Now I am PISSED!

I paid $70 EACH for the wade autos, that equals $280, I got back from Topps not even $200 worth of cards. This is ridiculous, I am really pissed off and will be calling Topps personally for more replacements for this.


Not only did I pay $280, I wanted the WADE autos since I thought the $70 was a great price to buy now and re-sell during the playoffs.

Oh yeah Topps was nice enough to add 1 pack of 04-05 Topps to each replacement card.....WOW THANKS!!!!!!! :/

This was surely Topps, They are usually, and have been, great with redemptions for me. But this is just stupid, I wanted 4 wade ROOKIE autographs, not 4 random BC autos which I will say are nice, but not nearly sufficient replacements.

I will be calling topps in a few, and will let you guys know what happens!

Well I just got off the phone. The lady said they go by BV on replacements which is garbage. She said the Wades were $100 BV each, so that is what I got in return. She said if I wanted I could send them back in for different replacements, but with my luck I would just get even worse cards. So it looks like I am once again screwed by the redemption process :/

Paul there got to be someone else you can talk to: I don't want to make it worse by hanging onto this but this is flat out wrong when someone sends in 4 redemtions of D. Wade then they should get equal value if not the Wade cards themselves...translation send 4 KG's, Shaq O'neil, S. Nash, Dirk, AI, T. Duncan or a combination of thoses. Don't make us look stupid by saying that McCants, Felton, Green, and Warrick equal 4 wade's!!! If anyone thinks so then please trade with me!!! I wish I had the answer but I would not stop here, call back and try to get someone else, or supervisor.
I can see this now hm wade redemtions, ok Wade goes home with me but I will mail out McCants, hm another wade goes home with me I will mail out Warrick, sweet another wade goes home with me and I will mail out Green, oh yeah yet another wade goes home with me and I will send out Felton (this is the conversation the redemtion guys is having with himself!!!)....boo to Topps my favorite company of all time. Paul06901 don't let the issue stop here unless you are satisfied with the results of what was sent!!!

I agree with HockeyTown. I'd send them back and hope for better, talking to Topps about what you'd request in return. Why keep 'em?

I would think if Topps has Dwyane Wade as a spokesperson, they must have zillions of Wade auto stickers laying around. Can't see why they couldn't have substituted Wade autos for Wade sutos.

Good point chilly, they could get him to sign many more of those cards as redemptions, but those cards weren't stickers, they were actually on the card, but as he IS a spokesperson for them, they could have him sign some more at least to comply for the redemptions!

personally i would try sending them back nad demanding better cards but that is totally up to you... that really bites i am sorry
