Lately I was thinking about making a Player Collection website. Is there anyone here that has one or ideas about best way to pursue this?

I would prefer to have a free host... and be able to post scans of all my cards and oddball items.

But I was thinking about going that extra mile and buy a domain name and all that jazz.

Thoughts?

I think the issue of getting your own domain name comes down to how visible you want the site to be in search engines. If the site is just to show off your stuff in knew place then I would say there is much less of a need for your own domain. If you want the site to function as something that helps build your collection then you need it to be visible on search engines and your own domain goes a long way for that.

Personally I want it to help me build my collection so I went with the domain and I have sent quite a bit of time trying to optimize it with keywords and everything else.
