Hello all,

so I bought a Bourque auto from nyr8802, link is here -
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300339560567&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

The package arrived torn, open, and included an apology from Canada Post. The package did not include my card, but instead a Marcel Dionne Franchises Stick -

The seller is not prepared to do anything, so I'll eat the loss.

But the reason for the post is someone may have bought, lost or traded for this card. If you're missing a Dionne look me up, hell you might even have my Bourque auto :)

Cheers,
Greg

dont take it the wrong way but i think something fishy is going on here, if the package was torn open by canada post why would the put back another card?

Im thinking that maybe a few different bubble mailers got damaged at the sorting warehouse and the contents were put back in the wrong envelopes?

that's the way I'm leaning. The seller has good feedback - I not overly impressed with the way I've been treated. But I don't think he's swapping cards, although it did cross my mind...

He likely mailed out the wrong card to you. Somewhere, someone is waiting for that Dionne, and has your card instead!!!!

You could make a PayPal claim. Getting the wrong card is not acceptable, no matter what Canada Post says. Now if the seller put insurance on that package, he'd be compensated for the lost card. But if not, I'd still go with the claim. Though my suspicions say that someone at Canada Post opened those bubble mailers, since this kind of thing has been known to happen.

I agree that it's not acceptable, but at the same time I don't fault the seller. It is a Canada Post issue, and I have a very nice apology that goes with my torn package

I did offer to halve the loss with seller, but that's when his attitude kicked in...

Cheers,
Greg

that is weird. The seller told me that it has happened to 3 people in the last couple of weeks.

Sounds like a Canada Post worker pulling a scam. If you're a card collector it's not hard to figure out which packages to accidentally damage and open.

Thanks for the post.
Greg

Funny....maybe it's just a fluke but I recieved a torn apart envelope from the same guy with no card.

That being said, when I asked him about it he said that I was the 2nd person this had happened to in the last week.

My best,

to me, that equals sticking it to the seller. you paid for a certain item, and didn't get it. that sounds like a claim to me, especially if the seller is being a d0uche towards you. according to ebay and their crappy policies, ya have the basis of a claim.
