If Canada Post goes on strike today will it affect your collecting and selling? I won’t be buying anything online until it’s over and won’t be listing any items for sale until it’s over

Yeah it's going to bring most online sales to a halt. We can't send regular bubble mailers within Canada so the only option is to use another shipping company for higher end items.

I will avoid ebay for now until it's settled but continue to purchase on COMC and keep an eye on fanatics auctions where it just goes into my vault. On the radio today, it sounded like service will continue but just not be as consistent.

I'm not in the mailing game right now, but I wouldn't send anything through the mail as expectations should be total chaos, but you'll run into buyers/ traders that feel there should be no delay and will be totally unreasonable.

Reportedly it's a rotating strike, so not a dead halt. Honestly, it's smart timing: close enough to the holidays to create anxiety and pressure, not close enough to antagonize the public.

Can’t even purchase a CP label via eBay right now. Should be interesting and hope it does not last long.

News is saying that 55,000 are now on strike so not rotating.

Actually - full strike - mail is shut down. Let's hope they get back to work soon.

It shouldn't last long, perfect timing, 6 weeks before Christmas.

I got a story.

So today is my first Friday off, down to 4 days a week. The strike will impact my selling but no worries really. I sent a package to USA with tracking/insurance in September but it stopped moving at some point. Canada Post investigation yields nothing and they send me a cheque that I actually have to go to the bank and cash. So I did today. I walk past Canada Post Strikers which is a couple buildings down from TD bank. I walk buy them with a cheque issued from Canada Post for their incompetence and they demand more money ?
I found that quite comical just 90 minutes ago. C'est la vie.

"The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has announced it intends to begin a national strike on Friday, November 15 at 12:01 am ET.
Canada Post’s operations will shut down during a national strike, affecting millions of Canadians and businesses across the country."

It's not a rotating strike.

It’s gonna drive a stake into my custom stuff. Ah well, time to build up some inventory…

Oh wait my PWHL jerseys are “shipped”. I have no idea how but I’m guessing CP :curse::|

I foresee many great deals over the next few weeks if you are willing to be patient.

I will still look on ebay at Canadian sellers for purchases.
With the USPS postal option, I will focus on American and Asian sellers, for NOW!

Canada Post would still be the one delivering these packages to you. As long as they are on strike these packages would be held up as any other would.
