So a couple years ago I found a Mark Stuart Compendium press plate (Magenta) on ComC for a song and figured, why not, let's grab it.

Flash forward to 2019 and the yellow was listed for under 10 bucks during the ComC Black Friday sale. Again, figured why not, let's grab it.

The Black plate was also up, but it was too high for my shopping.

Last night, however, the price was cut in half and I grabbed it.

I'm now down to just needing the Cyan plate to have the rainbow! Oh, and for Covid delays to stop at ComC so I can have them in hand.

If you or someone you know has the Cyan plate, let me know. I'm willing to over trade for it, as well as the Gold parallel of the card!

Nice job! Mark is from my hometown (Rochester, MN) so I have a big card collection of his (had, I should say...I gave half of it to his family). I also have a Bruins game-used jersey of his as well.

Good luck getting the last plate!

Curt, do you know him or his family by chance? I'd love to get his signature in the book I wrote on the Jets!

That is awesome! I’m on epack so working on some trades to get the blue, red and gold parallels for you. Marking this thread for later

He works for the Jets and married a Winnipeg gal and lives there. So I'll ask the family. I may need to get a copy of the book and get his family to maybe get him to sign it. :D

His dad is my orthopedic surgeon.

Does Stu still work here? I honestly didn't know!

I don't have any physical copies of the book left but it's available online at a few spots. If you want I'd be happy to sign a sticker for you and send it down :)

Here's a link to the book.

I actually did a chapter on Stu creating the fighter helmet tradition!

Bumping back up as there was a seller on ComC who dropped the price majorly on the gold Compendium. Picked it up tonight for $1.50!

So now it's truly only the Cyan plate to have the full run... or in theory until I do a shipment...

Mark Stuart is still in Winnipeg with his wife, 2 kids, and soon to be third child. I heard he was going to be an assistant coach at University of Vermont, but I think he'll commute (still live in Winnipeg). That's all in the air right now due to COVID.
