and is joining the TSN staff in the broadcast field.

Should be interesting.

Wow!! this comes as a suprise, never really thought he would of retired this year as I thought he would play one more season. Good Luck Mr. Domi & thanks for the great fights you were involved in as I sure hope we see more fighting this year.

Now instead of a hockey player telling kids to get lost when they ask for autographs, he can be a reporter telling kids to get lost when they ask for autographs.

A useful player in his day, but a total horses *** off the ice.

I liked Tie. He may have been a tool but you could never question his heart.

TIE DOMI ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

(September 19, 2006) -- Tie Domi, a veteran of 16 seasons in professional hockey, announced his retirement Tuesday in a news conference at Air Canada Centre.

Domi played in 1,020 career National Hockey League games with Toronto, the New York Rangers and Winnipeg Jets, collecting 245 points (104 goals, 141 assists) with 3,515 penalty minutes.

Hockeys' gain, and TSNs' loss. Hard to believe they need an analyst that badly. And people thought listening to Mcguire and Healy was bad! :)

Domi joining TSN...lol.

What's next..Brashaer joining the Score? ;)

At least he's going to a winning team now.

Never a Toronto fan but always like to watch Domi race around the ice and antagonize the opposing teams players. Tie was a good player and had a nice long career, although I won't miss him hitting my Wings I will be interested to see how he does in the both and funny Brian with Kypie and Domi dropping the ball point pens and getting a fight on...jason

Heard a funny line by someone calling into 680 today

"Tie Domi is making more headlines with his little stick than he ever did with his big stick"
