Tiger woods dad?

I guess as you can tell I am not a big fan of the PGA tour although I do like hounding the senior tour. At any rate my point is this, how long have we knowing that Tiger dad has cancer? I was watching bits and pieces of the golf over the weekend and one of the broadcasters were talking about it. Just wondered if it had been long or did the news just come out?

Thanks for posting that Grumpydude, I am always shocked to hear people get cancer as often outside of lung cancer it just seems to strike anyone. At any rate sadden to hear of anyone with cancer, not a fun thing to deal with on either side the patient or family member.
