I am looking forward to this. Chatted with him last night for over an hour - lots of stuff to talk about tonight!

Why not just use a COMC account?

Not going to get in a fight over this... I have a COMC account.. but buying off eBay.. do you not feel this is abit extreme on shipping??? If I want a certain card either I pay $56.00 to have it shipped to me or I have to purchase additional COMC credits to have it shipped to me... charge reasonable shipping on the auctions !!!

It's the same as the global shipping program or whatever, which a lot of US sellers use. So if your options are pay $56 for shipping, or pay $5 for shipping from COMC, you're choosing instead to just complain about the $56? I just don't really follow the logic there.

Ok... and if I wasn’t a member of COMC? What if I want the eBay Auction card shipped directly to me?? The main point is .... I buy off eBay and expect reasonable shipping.. however some cards are only comc auction... would you pay $56.00 or$39.99 USD shipping for a card??? Obviously you think this is reasonable to pay $39.99 US shipping. I can ship UPS overnight speed pack for less....

You do realize that the cards in the COMC ebay auctions are already at the COMC warehouse, right? Once you win the auction on ebay, the card is literally transferred from the other users account, directly into yours. Then you request shipment, meaning the card is being directly shipped to you.....

$39.99 US shipping is indeed high. Especially when you have the option to use the COMC shipping but are intentionally being difficult...

Not necessarily.... I recently won a card that was offered on COMC Auctions ... That was not available for sale on their website...... I Was lucky won and had a friend in the US that bid on it for me... $6.00 shipping... to them... I paid the $5.00 shipping to me..

That is what’s bugging me... Cards that You can’t buy but are auction only.. With $56.00 cdn shipping... but US residents get it for $6.00 Shipping

It was addressed!! thank you Jeremy!!! Huge kudos!! Unfortunately not all cards are available on the website... card I wanted was listed as auction ... I didn’t have the Opportunity to buy it... I will try to figure out how to transfer cards to my account... hopefully I don’t go broke trying... lol

I'll try to explain this as best as I can. Let's say there's a card you want and it's listed as a COMC auction. You use your ebay account, you bid, and you win (don't go to pay for it yet). Go over to the COMC website, and go to the "Auctions Won" tab. There it will ask you what your ebay username is. Once you enter your username, it will show you any COMC auctions that have been won with that ebay username, and it will give you the option to pay for your auction win with your COMC credit. If you do that, the card will be transferred to your account.

So as you said, not all cards are specifically offered for sale via the COMC platform. But when they are sold as a COMC auction, they are indeed already at the warehouse and do not need to be shipped to a US friend, and then to yourself.

Hope that helps.

I've never won a COMC auction via eBay, so this helps a bunch if/when I ever find myself in this scenario. Thanks!

Jeremy. Watched the whole replay. Wanted to see live but everyday is a Saturday and I forgot. Really enjoyed it. Great to hear from Tim and his answers. He answered a lot of the naysayers questions.
