Tony Esposito

Ryan, your link comes up-' not a file. Never had the pleasure of meeting Tony although I have never heard a bad word spoken about him. Rest easy Tony.

What a sad, sad day for the Esposito Family and all of hockey.
Tony was simply a great guy. I've known him for 30 years since I got into the trading card business and he was always a true gentlemen.
I would love to give you some Tony Esposito stories but I will keep them between the two of us.
Rest in peace Tony, you will never be forgotten.

I met him once and he was a nice and genuine fellow.

Thanks to him and his brother for bringing hockey to the Bay area.

Was lucky enough to meet him at Untouchables in Mississauga many years ago when they were first opening. We were at the front of the line and he started chatting to me insisting i try on his Stanley Cup ring (Habs).
My favourite images when i moved to Canada (from Scotland) in 1981 were his and many other goalies masks, especially the 80/81 and 81/82 OPC sets. I started collecting cards from 1981-present but when i got his autograph that day at Untouchables it started my ridiculous goalie collection.
I even went against my principles and purchased the ITG auto featuring him with team USA-a very cool and unique card for a Canadian legend.
RIP Tony O and thanks for the memories.
