After looking at some of the Mail Posts in the last week - I just have to say WOW!!!!!
The amount of cardboard going back and forth and the collections that are posted are just SUPERB!!!! It is hard to believe that there can be a better trading community than what we have both here on HI and on the other board. I include the other board only because so many of us intermix between the two almost seamlessly.
Although I may not comment on all Mail posts that I see - I look at everyone of them and enjoy them. Sure the high-end get a lot of attention - but how often do we get to see some of those cards in such wonderful high quality scans??? Certainly not in the monthly price guide - and not by cruising auction sites!!!! In simple words - KEEP POSTING THEM !!!!!!
And in the interest of my own collection - I got off my behind (although golf season is sparking it's last breath with the nice weather today - 60 degrees!!- but with frost on the ground - at a much later time than usual) and got to scanning this morning. From the looks of it - I must have been really too lazy to scan for the last 2-3 weeks. Once again -- thanks to all of the Board Members for helping to purge themselves of the evil Red & White pieces that they wanted out of their sight!!!
And here are the scans:
from Ebay:
Sweet 2 color with raised seam and stitching
Can never go wrong with Vintage material
from a few pack breaks:
Morrisonn All-Star RC #/100
Bowman Future Rivals Patch Weinhandl/Lundmark #/20
From Don Robertson - always fun to help Don out, and especially since he always comes up with a big wings pull once a season!!!
Nystrom is the Platinum #/10
from Ewen Murray - first time trade and I look forward to more!!!:
From the unknown trader (please help - somehow I did not write this one down???)nwojoey??
from the 'Bay:
man - it took a long time to track this down at a 'reasonable' price!!!
The depths of my collecting obsession............. #19/50!!!
From John (lid26) - another great trader that is responsible for disappearing inkage from my collection!!!
Fleer Howe Auto SP
From Patrick (PATSCARDS) - first time trade and I look forward to more!!!
From Mike (Magootz) - he worked hard to make sure the card I wanted wound up in my hands and was patient while I found something to complete the trade:
An extra thrown in - Thanks!!
And finally from Rod (crankshaft):
Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comments are always welcome - and yes many of these fine cards are for trade - except for any Yzerman's.
