Currently I am sorting out all my baseball cards into companies, and then sets. There are some insert sets, I have found, that seem to span different sets, and other ones which are just confusing. Can someone shed some light on these?
1. The Mickey Mantle Home Run Heroes set. It seems to come in 2007 and 2008 so far. There is also refractors. Are there regular chromes as well? I also understand that some cards were even pack-ins with the complete sets for the regular Topps sets.
2. The Road to 500 Home Runs set for Alex Rodriguez. As 2007 Bowman is going to be one of the sets I am going to work on (or already am that is) I almost forgot that these cards came randomly inserted into the regular product. Does this set span multiple products as well, and also years?
3. 2008 Topps Heritage. I have regular set cards and Refractors from this set. Am I to believe that a Topps Heritage Chrome set was released as well, or are the refractors just parallels of the regular set?
4. Topps 52. I have 2 cards, both SPs numbered to 1952, from this set, but both have slightly different backs. One is from 2007 and one isn't. What's the deal with this one?
