Just wanted to give everyone a heads up who will be in the Toronto area that the 3rd installation of the Toronto Monthly Card Show will be taking place this Sunday, June 18th at Leaside Gardens from 10am until 4pm.

We will be having our hourly prize draws which are sponsored by In The Game, Inc, Beckett Media, Beckett Grading Services, Canadian Sportscard Collector, KSA and select dealers who are setting up at the show.

We will also be having a special prize draw for any Dads who are in attendance, as this is, of course, Father's Day!

The FAN590 will be broadcasting live from the show from 3pm to 4pm. Amsterdam Beer will also be there giving out prizes to those in attendance.

For more information, please visit us at www.torontocardshow.com.

If you are going to be at the show, please make sure you ask for us (Ryan, Frank, Joseph and Randy) and say "hello!".

With ITG ULTIMATE coming out this week,and ITG being present at the show, this should make for an interesting show, wish I could be there. {Did ya forget to send Upper Deck an invite???.....LOL}

Ryan & the Gang....

Sorry to read that you were unable to reel in an Autograph guest. :( I'd have to agree, what with it being Father's Day and everything.

Have a great show & I wish I could attend!

BTW! I'm liking your host of sponsors! I wish that Dale would've realized the error of his ways, and gotten on board with you! :p

We did send Upper Deck an e-mail regarding our venture, but they have yet to respond.

Brian, Dale and I are very cool. We're in contact and offering each other insight on show specifics. We've worked pretty hard to get this kind of sponsorship on board, but giving credit where credit is due, In The Game, Inc. was the original sponsor to step forward, and I think an opportunity is being seen.

Who's Going? Toronto Monthly Card Show, Sunday June 18th, 2006

I was bumbed to miss the Spring Expo this year, so I am thinking about heading over to the Toronto Monthly this weekend. Anybody elso going, or thinking of going? If so, it would be great to meet up you, specially since I am still pretty new here and have yet to meet any members in person.

Just thought I'd throw it out. Lmk.

Thanks,
Kevin

Toronto Show

Hey Kevin!

I'll be set-up...2 tables as soon as you walk in to your left (I'm usually against the back wall, but since there's no autograph guest this show, the public gets to see my pretty face instead! :) )

Come by and say hi...it'll be a pleasure to meet you.

You'll enjoy yourself at this show....Ryan and the boys have done a great job putting this together.

Joe

I'll be there in the morning, maybe til noon or 1ish. Having it on Father's Day doesn't give me a lot of time though. If you go Kev, it'd be great to bash the blue & white in person. :)

Joe,

I'll very likely be there, so I will certainly hunt you down.

Now Wes, that's an offer I just can't refuse! :p I will see you there!

I look forward to meeting you both in person.

Kevin

I'll be there set up just inside the door, though I'm a bit bummed myself. There a local estate auction Sunday with over 300,000 cards from the 1900's and up available. And I'll have to miss it.

Cool I'll see you there Cory! Still have any 2003-04 Mats Sundin ITG Used Signature Series Retrospectives Gold left for trade/sale? I am down to needing only 2, 5A and 5E. If so, please bring them along with you Sunday.

That auction sounds amazing! Is it in Orangeville? Open to the public? WOW.

Kevin

The auction is in Palgrave, which leads me to believe, it's not a highly publicized thing, and may not attract a huge crowd, especially on Fathers Day. Who knows though - there may be 1 1910 C56 card and 299,999 Proset cards.

I've only got one extra Sundin left and I can't remember which it is. I'll bring it along though regardless. See you Sunday Kev.

Cory

Make sure you guys all look for me and say hi...I may not recognize your HI names right away, but it would be cool to meet you nonetheless. I'll be one of the guys running around like a chicken with its head removed (gross), but again, I'd be more than happy to make time to say hello.

Cory and Joey are two of our most supportive dealers, and I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks again for the kind words, fellas.

Ryan

Anyone going, please keep your eyes peeled for rare Jordan Sigalet cards. Anything you get I will either trade for or buy from you.
Thanks,
Tom

Thanks to everyone who made the June 18th Toronto Monthly Card Show a resounding success! Met up with quite a few HI (busted!) board members, and had an overall great experience. We're working on a few (yes, a few!) autograph guests for the July 9th show, so we will keep you posted. Keep checking our website (www.torontocardshow.com) for updated information.

ITG Ultimate Memorabilia 6 was the talk of the show. Packs, singles and in some cases boxes, were trading hands quite feverishly. Some pretty crazy pieces were in some dealer showcases, and ITG did an incredible job with this product. Not too many complaints from collectors about the product, but the good thing was having ITG at the show to accept praise and constructive feedback from the public.

Two products that seemed to be having a tough time (both mentioned by dealers and collectors) was SP Authentic and UD Rookie Update. Folks were pretty much avoiding sealed product, but singles were trading hands quite well.

ITG also had a showing of their new National Treasures frames. These frames are very cool looking, if you have not seen them. They are tiered and feature a photo of a player, along with jersey swatches (single colour and multi colour), patches and autographs. Also on display was the grand prize of the Ultimate Memorabilia 6 redemption program...the game used Mario Lemieux Pittsburgh Penguins jersey!

Thanks again to all who attended, and to the dealers who once again helped to provide a great show for those in attendance.

See you on July 9th!
