Good turnout tonight... lots of trades, talk, joking and eating. The most trades I've landing in a short amount of time before. Picked at another tin of Sweet Shot... did ok with a Grant Fuhr Ice signing. Some decent wins - not me of course ;) - in pack wars... lots of autos, Malkin SOTT, Gabby Chriography, etc...

Here's my Senator pick-ups in trade (Heatley Baseball skin auto was a purchase)...

Don't like the design on those baseball autos, but it's a sweet card nonetheless! Also like the Elliott patch auto and the 3-color Hurme number!
 
Bah, wish I could have made it out. Kid was super sick though and had to stay home with him.. Hopefully next month will make it out. Probably best with Sweet Shot out. Darren would have just wanted to goad me into pack warring it all night....
 
Last night was great. Within 5 minutes of walking in I had two cards for the PC: A Thomas Steen sweet shot auto and a Hawerchuk triple jersey....I think its from Sweet shot as well. He's in a Philly uniform (usually not welcome in my collection) buit with Jets jersey pieces so I made an exception.

Did a trade with woth Ferris for an ITG Hawerhuk Team Canada jersey card. Don't remember what I gave up for it but suffice it to say, he made out liek a bandit (Ultimnate base cards are huge these days).

I broke two boxes of Ultimate and did okay. Lost 6 consecutive rounds of pack wars (SPA). Glad Orvy was there to provide a home to the Elliot patch. In exchange he gave me a few cards including the first 2 seeds of my new Roenick collection.

Also did a deal with the proprietor to grab a couple nice Hanzal patches from Ultimate.

Great night. Darren made me eat more pizza than I needed to but at least he didn't break out into his "I hit a big card" dance.
 
Nice stuff, and the trade night always sounds like a blast, although I don't think my wife would support that as a reason to relocate to Calgary!

We need something like that in Ottawa, I'm sure I've said it before - but Hans/Frank are you reading this?? Get on it!

Good to see someone besides myself gets the 'Ferris Gouge' ever so often... :D

In other news, I was told by my wife that we are going back to Calgary on our vacation this summer. As luck would have it, I will be there for the July trader night! Looking forward to seeing all of my Calgary collector buddies again.

So, get all that Canuck stuff you have sitting in those trade boxes ready!

I think there was also a very nice Mason Raymond in there....hmmm....wonder which smart-*** former friend/customer I know that cheers for the Canucks....

No worries - just wait until the next trader night on June 18th - also the release day for OPC Premier. Now that's a product to pack war!

Sounds like our Calgary brethren had a fine evening of trading and shooting the breeze.. :cool:

Yes it was a good night, I picked up 5 more Brodeurs. Unfortunatly with the wife being sick and not working I have no budget for cards, still waiting on that lottery so I can pick up a few more Marty's that were there.
