I am choosing between 2 cards right now. What's the better investment?

08-09 ITG Ultimate Vintage Lumber 1/1 Bob Davidson (30-40's era)

or

08-09 ITG Ultimate Auto 3clr Patch 1/1 Nazem Kadri

I am a Leafs fan so its either the past or the present....

Please help!

I've seen the scan. Patch is purple/red/white in one corner. Looks nice.
Giving up an eberle spx auto jersey rc /499

ITG you should know doesn't have as much investment value as the other major manufacturers but since this is a 1/1 and might never have a chance to land a card such as the Kadri, that should definitely weigh into your decision making process..The Eberle is a nice card as well, but if he's not in your PC you should be willing to trade/sell it. I might hold onto it though until more Kadris are out there.

I would go with the lumber 1/1 any day.

What he said.

Kadri parallel 1/1's will be a dime a dozen.
How often will you see another Bob Davidson Lumber 1/1 made.

Don't think Kadri will have a career Davidson had either

Bob Davidson on occasion went by the nickname "Rugged Robert" by his teammates. He played his entire NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played in the NHL from 1933–34 to 1945–46. He played on two Stanley Cup winning teams. His first was in 1941–42 and his second in the 1944–45 season in which he was Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Bob Davidson served as Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1943–44 to 1944–45. After his playing days were over he stayed on with the Leafs organization in a number of different capacities. His most notable was as Chief Scout. Bob Davidson is considered by many to be one of the best hockey scouts of all time and was credited with building the Toronto Maple Leafs teams during the 1960s which dominated the NHL by winning the Stanley Cup four times (1961–62, 1962–63, 1963–64, 1966–67) within a six year period. Davidson name was engraved on the cup 1962, 1967, but was a member of all 4 cups wins by Toronto in 1960's. In 1995 the Board of Directors of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization awarded Bob Davidson with the J. P. Bickell Memorial Award

You ask which is the better investment; that depends on when you plan on flipping either card. If you plan to flip the card in the next year or so the Kadri may be the best choice. If you are keeping the card for 5, 10, 20 years, the Davidson is the card to keep. The Kadri will be worthless by then, the Davidson should always have a value similar to what it is now.

Thanks for the advice guys. Davidson is in hand now and keeping for a long time.
