Here is the story for ya'll.

Travis Lutter (9-5) who recently lost to Rich Franklin at UFC 83 in Montreal has been cut from the UFC Roster.

The news came from a blog entry by Lutter. After making his UFC debut at UFC 50 Lutter went back and forth between wins and losses. He then reappeared on The Ultimate Fighter 4 and ended up winning the show to go on to face Anderson Silva. Lutter had problems making weight for that scheduled title fight and ended up losing to Silva in the second round.

This comes hot off the heels of the UFC's recent cutting down of their roster. It's safe to assume this isn't going to be the last fighter to be cut off the roster. Kalib Starnes was also cut from the UFC after his lackluster performance at UFC 83 and Jake O'Brien was cut back in March.

The 83 news isn't quite over...Charles McCarthy retired a couple days too after losing to Michael Bisping. I was guessing that what he suffered against Bisping was career-ending, but apparently, he says he's accomplished all he wanted to and figured it was time to go.

Lutter's no big loss. He's a cocky bugger who is unable to give more than one good round. If he doesn't finish the fight early, he gets rocked.

Starnes was released from his UFC deal as well. Apparently he meant to put on the performance (track). He was pissed at the UFC for not covering his medical bills for injuries that he incurred while in the Ultimate Fighter house. I could've thought of a lot better ways to get my point across.

I'm also glad that they cut Lutter loose. He's a round fighter; and he's not as good as he thinks he is. Arrogance is acceptable to me; iff you can back it up.
